Serving from 9.00am until 10.00pm Monday to Saturday, and from 12.00 until 9.00pm on a Sunday. The Grill @ 114 is the ideal place to sit back and relax
Situated at the front of the hotel it has large windows, high ceilings and an airy but intimate feel to it.
The extensive menu caters for all tastes and like all the food at the hotel is fresh, home made and wherever possible comes from local suppliers.
The Food
The food itself is excellent at the Best Western Lion Hotel. The "Burger" at the hotel is one of our popular meals off the grill menu and represents our whole attitude to food. Homemade burger, made fresh daily, with meat from a local butcher. Chips, that are peeled, and 'chipped', daily and cooked fresh.
Like all our dishes we pride ourselves on using as much as possible locally sourced produce. The hotel has just achieved its accreditation from Green Tourism of Bronze and is actively working to move to the Silver Award. Fairtrade coffee and organic presses are just are few of the new lines introduced.
The Head Chef, James Farrow, and his team take great pride in the food they produce and James will happily discuss any of the menu items with any of the customers that use the Best Western Lion Hotel.
